The EB-5 Visa Program offers a pathway to U.S. permanent residency through investment. This program aims to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors.

Eligibility Criteria

- Invest $1.8 million in a new commercial enterprise, or $900,000 if the investment is targeted in a rural area or high-unemployment area.

- The investment must create or preserve at least 10 full-time jobs for U.S. workers.

Process

1. Locate and select a suitable EB-5 project for investment.

2. Invest the capital in the selected project.

3. File a petition (I-526) with USCIS to verify the investment and job creation.

4. After petition approval, apply for conditional permanent residency.

5. Remove conditions on the green card by proving sustained investment and job creation after two years.

Points to Consider

- Due diligence is crucial when selecting an investment project.

- Investments can be at risk; there's no guarantee of a financial return.

- The process can be complex and lengthy, often requiring legal advice.
