T Visa to Green Card

The T visa is for victims of human trafficking who are willing to assist law enforcement agencies in investigating or prosecuting these crimes. 

T visa holders can apply for permanent residency after three years of continuous physical presence in the U.S. or after the investigation or prosecution is complete.

Eligibility Criteria

- Must hold a valid T visa.

- Must have been physically present in the U.S. for at least three years since being granted the T visa or upon the completion of the investigation or prosecution of the trafficking case.

Process

1. File Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

2. Attend a biometrics appointment and an interview.

3. Receive a green card upon approval.

Points to Consider

- Spouses, children, and certain other family members of T visa holders may also be eligible to apply for a green card.

- It's essential to remain in good legal standing and comply with any requirements from law enforcement agencies.
